My First 10 years – a Journey of Social Media, Sustainability and Slow Dentistry

My first 10 years in dentistry have taken me from VT to presidency of the BACD. In this lecture I’ve been asked to describe my journey – the highs, the lows and what I’ve learnt along the way.

I will go through key elements of my self-development that I feel have driven me and provided me with a balanced career that I love. I’ll go through the key levers in my clinical development, my experiences with social media and the press and why this can be a double-edged sword, how and why I branched out of clinical dentistry into start up life with PÄRLA and how I have now ended up as the youngest ever incoming president of the BACD.

  • Give insight into what has worked and what hasn’t in my first 10 years
  • Give practical action points to help you develop in the direction that provides you with a career you love
