Primary Stability and Beyond: digital technologies for predictable implant outcomes

This case-driven presentation explores how a fully digital, predominantly in-house implant workflow can transform both the clinical experience and the aesthetic outcome. Uniquely, the case was completed by two associates under mentorship — demonstrating that with the right digital tools and support structure, this level of workflow is accessible beyond the most experienced implant clinicians. From guided surgery and chairside CAD/CAM temporisation through to digital emergence profile capture and laboratory handoff, the case shows how integrated digital tools remove clinical variables and deliver a predictable result from the first appointment to the final crown.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand how a fully digital guided implant workflow can be planned and executed within a restorative practice
  • Appreciate the role of chairside CAD/CAM temporisation in soft tissue conditioning and emergence profile development
  • Describe the process of digitally capturing emergence profile data and communicating it effectively to the dental laboratory
  • Recognise how in-house milling with high-strength composite blocks (VOCO Grandio blocks) supports the provisional stage and shapes the final restorative outcome

A Veneer of Simplicity???

When choosing materials and techniques for veneering teeth, whether it be single or multiple, it is often far from simple . We will explain techniques available and unpick the advantages and disadvantages that need to be considered in offering treatments to your patients.

Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Gain an understanding of the principles of treatment planning veneer cases.
  • Develop knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of various methodologies involved in creating beautiful veneers
  • Understand the differences and longevities between options currently available to us in providing veneers and their role in natural aesthetics
  • Provide an overview of the techniques involved in producing the cosmetic result the patients want

Achieving Functional and Aesthetic Harmony in Real World Clinical Scenarios

This lecture structure presents some challenging clinical scenarios faced frequently by the restorative dentist and aims to provide an insight into the decision-making process in managing them.

Learning outcomes:

• Evaluate and approach some routine and daily clinical scenarios using a systematic approach
• Understand how novel clinical materials can simplify our daily workflow and aid in challenging clinical scenarios
• Enhance clinical decision making to achieve predictable and long-lasting aesthetic and functional outcomes

Vital Pulp Therapy with MTA: Real-World Techniques & Answers to the Questions That Matter

This lecture presents a clinically relevant case study demonstrating the use of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) in vital pulp therapy (vpt) as a minimally invasive, biologically driven approach to managing deep carious lesions in young adults. The case highlights predictable preservation of pulp vitality while avoiding more invasive endodontic treatment. The procedure shows how MTA vpt can be utilised in a single visit, eliminating the need for provisional restorations and restoring both function and aesthetics. Key clinical considerations, including case selection and treatment rationale, will be outlined to support predictable outcomes and long-term tooth preservation. Following the case presentation, the session will address the most frequently asked questions raised by clinicians. This practical component will clarify common uncertainties around indications, handling, protocols, and expected outcomes, equipping delegates with the confidence to integrate MTA vpt into everyday practice.
