To include the direct restoration of one or two anterior teeth adjacent to natural dentition

To include the indirect restoration of one or two anterior teeth adjacent to natural dentition utilising ceramic crowns and veneers
Minor orthodontic pre-alignment may be completed prior to placement of indirect restorations, but the major improvements to the smile will be attributed to the ceramic restoration
This category is for dentists and supporting technicians
Minimum case scope: 4 or more anterior teeth
To include the direct restoration of four or more upper teeth to improve the smile
The composite should be directly applied in the mouth, not created via CAD/CAM
Minor orthodontic pre-alignment or periodontal plastic surgery may be completed prior to placement of direct composite restorations, but the major improvements to the smile will be attributed to the restorative phase of treatment
Required photos:
• Pre-op: minimum smile view and retracted view
• Post-op: minimum smile view and retracted view – Full-face photos are no longer required for either category
This category is for dentists and supporting technicians
Minimum case scope: 4 or more anterior teeth
To include restoration / improvement of the smile utilising four or more indirect ceramic restorations appropriate to the case, including; crowns, veneers or bridges
Dental implants maybe a component of the case, but will be limited to a single tooth or sextant. Full arch implant restorations are excluded from this category
Required photos:
• Pre-op: minimum smile view and retracted view
• Post-op: minimum smile view and retracted view – Full-face photos are no longer required for either category
This category is for dentists and supporting technicians
To include replacement of one or two missing upper anterior teeth adjacent to natural dentition utilising dental implants or fixed bridges
Minor orthodontic pre-alignment or periodontal plastic surgery may be completed prior to implant / restoration placement
Case scope: 1–2 anterior implants adjacent to natural teeth or restorations – Required photos:
• Pre-op: minimum smile view and retracted view
• Post-op: minimum smile view and retracted view – Full-face photos are not required
Entry is open to all ALL BACD members with the exception of Accredited Members and members of the BACD Board.
We recommend entrants attend the Annual Conference to have the best chance of collecting your award in person.
Entries are accepted as word, PDF, PowerPoint or Keynote.
Entries should be supported with photographic submissions presented using the accreditation PowerPoint template and a written case report (maximum 1,000 words).
The Accreditation PowerPoint template is available under the dentist accreditation section of the BACD website
It is suggested each entry be supported using the standard 12 photographic views. Minimum accepted views to include:
Case reports should summarise pre-operative concerns and diagnosis, justification for chosen treatment plan of choice and final outcomes
