To include the indirect restoration of one or two anterior teeth adjacent to natural dentition utilising ceramic crowns and veneers
Minor orthodontic pre-alignment may be completed prior to placement of indirect restorations, but the major improvements to the smile will be attributed to the ceramic restoration
This category is for dentists and supporting technicians
To include the direct restoration of six or more upper teeth to improve the smile
The composite should be directly applied in the mouth, not created via CAD/CAM
Minor orthodontic pre-alignment or periodontal plastic surgery may be completed prior to placement of direct composite restorations, but the major improvements to the smile will be attributed to the restorative phase of treatment
This category is for dentists and supporting technicians
To include restoration / improvement of the smile utilising six or more indirect ceramic restorations appropriate to the case, including; crowns, veneers or bridges
Dental implants maybe a component of the case, but will be limited to a single tooth or sextant. Full arch implant restorations are excluded from this category
This category is for dentists and supporting technicians
To include replacement of one or two missing upper anterior teeth adjacent to natural dentition utilising dental implants or fixed bridges
Minor orthodontic pre-alignment or periodontal plastic surgery may be completed prior to implant / restoration placement
This award will be presented to the case deemed best overall entry as judged by all BACD members attending annual conference
Entry is open to all Full and sustaining BACD members attending annual conference in November 2025 (accredited members and members of board are excluded from entry)
Entries should be supported with photographic submissions presented using the accreditation PowerPoint template and a written case report (maximum 1,000 words)
The Accreditation PowerPoint template is available under the dentist accreditation section of the BACD website
It is suggested each entry be supported using the standard 12 photographic views. Minimum accepted views to include:
Case reports should summarise pre-operative concerns and diagnosis, justification for chosen treatment plan of choice and final outcomes
