Doug graduated from Birmingham University in 2003, securing the Centenary Cup. He advanced his training in Cheltenham, where he won the Worcestershire vocational training group’s case presentation prize and earned membership in the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners in 2005.
After completing two intensive restorative dentistry courses with Tipton Training in Manchester, Doug was honored as the Practical Restorative Dentist of the Year in 2009.
By 2013, he became a partner at his practice and a finalist for “Best Young Dentist” at the Dentistry Awards.
In 2018, he was awarded a Certificate in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry from the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry. The following year, he took on roles as a regional representative for the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a beta tester and key opinion leader for 3Shape.
In 2020, Doug earned a Certificate in Periodontology from Perio Academy. The following year, he joined the board of directors for the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Most recently, in 2024, he was awarded a postgraduate diploma in advanced implant dentistry from PAD Academy.
Doug is passionate about all aspects of dentistry, particularly digital workflows, dental implants, endodontics, restorative, and aesthetic dentistry. He regularly lectures and mentors fellow dentists.
Outside of work, Doug enjoys life with his two sons, Sam and Ollie. He finds joy in playing the guitar, singing, and snowboarding
