Professional Biography

Dimitrios or Jim (as widely known) finished his undergraduate studies in Belgrade in 1989 receiving the title of Doctor of medical dentistry. Following that, he had worked as a dentist in the Greek Army for 18 months and then for another 18 months as associate in private practice in Greece. In 1992 he set up his own private practice in Thessaloniki, Greece. Since January 2006 he has been working in the UK (Nottingham and Louth).

He has been always keen on broadening his knowledge and experience in dentistry. He has special interest in Prosthodontics, endodontics (root canal treatments) and cosmetic dentistry. For many years now he has been attending relevant courses organised by well known and experienced in the field experts. In 2009 he has been awarded a title of MClinDent (Prosthodontics) from KCL University of London. He has also published an article entitled "the power of ozone: defining the way to safe and natural dentistry" Dentistry, Oct 2009, 98-99. He is a Full Member of BACD.

His dental work includes variety of simple and complex cases ranging from preventive dentistry, prosthodontics, implants, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and paediatric dentistry. He provides dentures (partial and full dentures) with aim to achieve customer satisfaction every single time. He has successfully managed many difficult and complex dental cases either on his own or in cooperation with other colleagues as a member of multidisciplinary team. In the last few years he has become more interested in cases of cosmetic dentistry, endodontics and prosthodontics which includes: smile design, full rehabilitation of the mouth with occlusal analysis, and aesthetic procedures including whitening, replacement of old amalgam fillings with composites, all ceramic crowns and bridges, root canal treatments (simple and complex cases).
