Congress Convenor
David qualified from Newcastle University in 1992 and has since built his career at a multi-award-winning general practice nestled in the beautiful Malvern Hills. Originally from Newcastle, this proud Geordie now happily calls the West Midlands home.
A dedicated member of the BACD for nearly two decades, David has contributed extensively to the Academy’s growth and community. He has served on multiple committees and now embarks on his second term on the Board, having previously held the role of Membership Director (2014–2016). As Congress Convenor, David oversees the planning and delivery of the BACD Annual Conference and Gala Dinner — an event he takes immense pride in curating and thoroughly enjoys bringing to life.
Throughout his time with the Academy, David has been especially passionate about mentoring and supporting new graduates and young dentists, encouraging their professional development and helping them achieve success both within the BACD and across the wider dental community.
Beyond dentistry, David is an enthusiastic traveller and fitness advocate who loves cooking, family time, and supporting his beloved Newcastle United.
