regional 2019 – cadcam technoloogy in restorative dentistry

CADCAM technology in restorative dentistry

A paradigm shift or a step too far

This lecture aims to compare the various aspects of restorative indirect dentistry looking at the standard analogue techniques and comparing them to the latest CadCam techniques. There are some obvious differences but there are many common elements required for both workflows to have long term success.

Some of the points that will be covered are:

  • how does the accuracy compare between CadCam and standard techniques
  • what are some of the benefits of CadCam over standard techniques
  • what materials are available and how to chose the right one for the best aesthetic and functional outcome
  • an overview of preparation and bonding protocols will be covered as these aspects are essential for either techniques to be successful.
  • a number of CadCam cases will be reviewed and discussed
