Aims:

to discuss the role of non-surgical periodontics in management of periodontial disease

to discuss surgical periodontics in addressing regeneration, recession, crown lengthening and gingival overgrowth

to discuss clinical options for loss of hard and soft tissue

Hatem Algraffee

Hatem Algraffee qualified as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital. He then worked in an oral and maxillo-facial surgery department, followed by several positions for various health authorities and general practice.

He completed four years full time specialist training in Periodontology at Guys London Hospital. He was awarded a Masters Degree (MSc) in Periodontology and Masters in Clinical Dentistry (M.Clin.Dent) from Guys Hospital. This was followed by the award of the membership in restorative dentistry (MRD) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

His previous positions were as a Specialist Clinical Teacher at Guys Hospital, as a Senior Dental Officer for Hammersmith and Fulham Trust, visiting lecturer for LonDec and as a Postgraduate Dental Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has lectured at many postgraduate centre’s, at webinars and study clubs.

Hatem now dedicates his time to Periodontics in private practice and lecturing for PerioAcademy
