We are all aware of cosmetic dentistry and what can be achieved with new ceramic materials and composites now a days. How do we improve the pink stuff? Utilising the precise surgical and microsurgical techniques can help use reconstruct the lost gingival tissue to achieve an harmonious aesthetic smile for our patients in a biological way.

Amit is the principal specialist and director at Birmingham Dental Specialists in Birmingham. His special interests are dental implants, regenerative and aesthetic Periodontics.

Amit graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1997. Following a training post in Restorative Dentistry at the Liverpool Dental School he gained significant experience in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery through 3 prestigious hospital posts. He obtained his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2000.

He subsequently undertook a 4 year specialist training program in Periodontics and Implantology at Guy's, Kings and St Thomas' Dental Institute, achieving Masters in Periodontology and Clinical Dentistry and his research thesis was presented at national meetings. 

Amit then obtained his Membership in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and became a registered Specialist in Periodontics. He has worked with several different implant systems, lectured nationally and published in the field of Dental Implantology and Periodontics. 

Amit was also an Associate Specialist in Periodontics at the Birmingham Dental School for 10 years but still is Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham Dental School teaching on the masters course. He has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including lecturing to dental practitioners.. He has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including lecturing to dental practitioners.
